There is a growing trend where young generations communicate less with older generations as much as they used to. While this can be largely attributed to technology and social media, I personally believe that this problem can be effectively addressed by providing volunteering programs by taking care of old people.

One compelling reason why young people do not communicate with older people is excessive use of technology and social media. Since young generations have different interests and communication skills then older generations, they spend hours on smartphones, communicating through social media and messaging apps. When adolescents use social media and messaging platforms, it causes less face-to-face interaction. As a result, the generation gap is widening, leading to less communication between younger and older generations. Therefore, technology and social media can be the main reason why teanagers communicate less with older generations.

To address the problem of excessive usage of social media and electronic devices efficiently, it is imperative for governments to provide volunteering programmes for nursing homes. When the government encourages young people to take care of older people, they spend time with them, communicate more and gain valuable life experience. By encouraging young people to communicate with older people, they can develop meaningful relationships and bridge generation gaps. Consequently, mutual understanding between two generations can be improved. Thus, by providing volunteering work in nursing homes, the government can effectively resolve the issue of less communication between two generations.

In conclusion, although digital devices and social media can be the primary reason why younger generations do not interact with older people, enhancing volunteering in nursing homes can resolve this ever-growing issue.
