A country should invest more resources in its younger generation, as this can be on of the most effective ways to secure its future. I support this view for two reasons. Firstly, their brain can absorb information quikly, and they can acquire knowledge faster than others. Secondly, in years to come, their valuable knowledge can contribute to the development of the country.
To begin with, younger generations can perform significantly better thn other people in terms of leraning speed, as they are able to acquire new information quikly than individuals of other age groups. This is mainly because their brains are more open to new experiences, and they generally have fewer responsibilities and worries compared to older people. As a result, they can focus more on their studies and invest their energy in building their future. Not only should a country allocate money, but it should also give full attention to young people so that they can develop more quikly
On the other hand, although these changes may appear stable at first, the fresh knowledge of younger generationns can ultimately create new opportunities and innovative approaches for national development. For instance, skilled young individuals can identify effective ways to sitmulate economic growth, while also introducing increasingly innovative approaches and solutions.
In conclusion, i firmly believe that greater investment in young people is essential, as they are capable of acquiring knowledge rapidly and adapting to new challenges. This, in turn, enables them to make a meaningful contribution to the country's long-term development and create more sustainable opportunities for future growth.
Examiner feedback
The essay presents a clear and logical argument supporting investment in youth, demonstrating a good grasp of Task 2 requirements. While the structural flow and task response are strong, the overall score is primarily held back by frequent, repetitive spelling errors and a slightly limited development of specific resource allocation examples.
Task Response - 7
- Addresses all parts of the task by arguing why investing in young people is beneficial for a country's future. - Presents a clear position that is maintained throughout the response. - Main ideas are relevant, though the development of 'investing resources' could be more specific (e.g., mentioning education, healthcare, or technology training specifically).
Coherence & Cohesion - 7
- Information is logically organized with a clear progression from the learning capacity of youth to their eventual economic contribution. - Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate different points of the argument. - Cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'As a result', and 'In conclusion' are used effectively, though some transitions like 'On the other hand' are used slightly inaccurately as they usually signal a contrast rather than a secondary supporting point.
Lexical Resource - 6
- Uses a sufficient range of vocabulary (e.g., 'national development', 'innovative approaches', 'sustainable opportunities') to convey precise meanings. - Spelling errors in common words ('quikly' for 'quickly', 'quikly' repeated) suggest a lack of control over word formation. - Collocations are mostly natural, such as 'stimulate economic growth' and 'long-term development'.
Grammatical Range & Accuracy - 6
- Uses a variety of complex structures, including conditional clauses and 'not only... but also' constructions. - Frequent minor spelling errors (e.g., 'quikly', 'leraning', 'sitmulate') and some typos ('thn') detract from the overall accuracy. - Punctuation and capitalization are generally correct, though the 'i' in the conclusion should be capitalized.
