There is a belief that humanity pays too much attention to animals and birds, allocating an excessive number of resources to their protection. I strongly disagree with this viewpoint because protecting wildlife is an ecological necessity, as their disappearance triggers cascading effects throughout the food chain, and affects a state's economy.

Lack of protection to animals and birds can cause disturbances in the food chain, leading to a threat to the wildlife as a whole. Every animal plays a specific role in ecological balance, which guarantees further existence of the planet. For example, when predators are removed prey population explodes and vegetation is stripped. This, in turn, disestablishes the entire landscape, resulting in unstable ecosystems, which affect not only wildlife but also human life.

A further consideration is that animals and birds influence agriculture, so any disturbances can lead to negative outcomes for the local economy. If the number of certain species decline, the amount of agriculture production may experience shortages. For instance, in the past, in China farmers killed populations of sparrows in order to increase the amount of crops, as it was believed that sparrows eat them. However, the experiment resulted in famine because the harvest was eaten by insects and worms, which before were exterminated by sparrows. As a result, birds and animals are an integral part of the agriculture and economy, maintaining stability

In conclusion, although some people think that too many resources are given in order to protect animals and birds, I believe that these efforts are essential. Wildlife plays a crucial role in ecological balance and supporting economic activities, such as agriculture. Therefore, investing in protection of animals and birds ensures longer sustainable development of the planet.
