In some parts of the world, governments partially fund health care and education. Some people believe that it is the state's responsibility to offer free public services like these for all citizens and I agree with this opinion for several reasons.

Admittedly, developing countries struggle to cover medical and educational costs of their residents. This is because it requires huge amounts of money to establish free medical care and education systems throughout the country. In these countries, the priority is often on faster development, so they may require their citizens to cover the costs of these services to some extent. For example, in Uzbekistan, first help and many other medical services are free, but not all. There are public schools, yet not all levels of education is provided for free.

However, I beilieve that governments should provide free education and medical services for all citizens. Firstly, not everyone can afford medical care or education by themselves. When it is a paid service, especially schools, people with financially-struggled background might opt for not sending their children to educational institutions. Instead children in these families start working at earlier ages to help their parents. If governments provide fully-funded education, it will prevent this. As for health care systems, ordinary people cannot pay for the medical bills themselves. Also, medical insurancies are not introduced in many countries yet. Therefore, the government must bear a complete responsibility in this as well.

In conclusion, even though some failing nations may face challenges in providing free health care and education, I remain convinced that it is the duty of the government to provide free public services.
