It is widely argued that offering free public transportation amenities 24/7 is an effective method to reduce traffic congestion. From my point of view, although this approach can be highly beneficial to reduce traffic concerns, other initiatives should also be inroduced to tackle the problem as a whole.

Providing the public with cost-free transport facilities has numerous benefits for both citizens and the environment. Psychologically, individuals usually show a strong inclination towards the easiest and cheapest options available. Taking this fact into consideration, it is far easier to encourage commuters to opt for public transports like buses and subways. This, in turn, reduces the need for private vehicles, preventing potential traffic problems. A pertinent example can be seen in numerous European countries, such as Luxembourg, Estonia, and France, where the need for public transport outweigh the demand for cars because of free transport usage for both residents and tourists. Moreover, the introduction of such public services can be eco-friendly due to a significant decline in car usage, which decreases excessive carbon footprint and alleviate global warming in the long run.

However, I firmly believe that additional proactive approaches should also be taken to solve this issue effeciently. To start, social media advertising, celebrity endorsment and posters about the effeciency of public transport and environmental benefits can have an educational value. When people are well-informed, they are likely to abandon private vehicles willingly in pursuit of societal progression. As a result, traffic concerns like car crashes or congestion can be effeciently prevented. Additionally, the convenience of public transportaion amenities plays a pivotal role in the effeciency of government efforts to reduce traffic problems. Several factors, including shorter intervals, comfortable seats and air conditioning should be carefully considered to attract more users and solidify the consistent usage of buses, trams, and subways among ordinary people.

In conclusion, while the introduction of cost-efficient public transportation can reduce traffic concerns, I am more of a view that this approach alone might not be enough to tackle these problems. Public education and the convinience of public transport are one of the most important factors that governments ought to pay attention to improve the efficiency of the actions.
