The two maps depict how the layout of the small museum changed between 1990 and 2010.
Overall, the small museum underwent a number of significant changes over the period, involving the addition of new facilities, the removal or conversion of existing rooms, and improvements to accessibility. As a result, the layout became considerably more modern and functional by the end of the period.
Turning first to the left and central parts of the building, the cottage was converted into a cafe, while the restaurant remained in its original position throughout the period. In addition, the garden was demolished and replaced by a car park, and the surrounding area was reorganised to accommodate this development.
As for the remaining areas, a new car park was added in the north-east section of the building, whereas the entrance and garden remained unchanged throughout the period. Meanwhile, the size of the exhibition room was reduced and the shop was expanded, while the size of the main road was enlarged.
