The bar chart compares six different types of sports - foot, swim, rugby, snooker, tennis, and golf - in terms of their proportion of individuals in a UK survey who were interested in three separate years, 1995, 2000, and 2005. Units are measured in percentages.

Although there were fluctuations, overall, it is clear that foot, swim, and rugby experienced an upward trend, albeit with varying levels, while snooker, tennis, and golf declined in general. Of particular note is foot, which maintained a dominant position throughout the whole period.

Of significance are the increasing trajectories observed for foot, swim, and rugby. As far as foot is concerned, it started at about 42% in 1995 before breaching the approximately 46% threshold by 2005. Meanwhile, swim stood at around 22% in 1995, prior to increasing drastically to roughly 29% by 2000, but there was a notable drop to 27% by 2005. Rugby, on the other hand, decreased markedly to nearly 19% by 2000 after commencing at 24% in 1995. Thereafter, it climbed dramatically to 27% by 2005.

By contrast, snooker dipped significantly to 21% by 2000, having 30% in 1995. After that it rose marginally to hovering around 23% by 2005. When it comes to tennis, it began at nearly 29% in 1995 before dipping notably to 22% by 2000 and remained stable by 2005. As for golf, the figure accounted for 17% in 1995, prior to declining minimally to 15% by 2000, but there was a marginal growth again to just over 16% by 2005.
