The provided line graph displays the intended length of stay of immigrants to the UK within the period between 2000 and 2008 while the pie chart details reasons for migration in 2008. Overall, the number of immigrant who intended to stay up to 2 years increased significantly over the period. Then, in 2008, most immigrants primarily migrated to the UK for work and study.

Focusing on the line chart first, the numbers of immigrants, who planned to stay for 2 to 4 years and for 4 or more years, remained relatively stagnant over the period at 50 and 150 respectively. However, the former group saw a progressive growth starting from 2007, doubling to 100 by the end of the period. The immigrants staying up to 2 years began at 150 in 2001, rather than 2000, and experienced an upward trend, reaching 250 in 2004, and then plateauing until the end of the period.

Regarding the pie chart, work and study represented the majority proportions at 38% and 32% respectively while 16% of immigrants migrated to accompany or join their families in the UK. The remaining 14% was distributed evenly between the last two categories, such as the immigrants who had other reasons and didn't state any reasons, both having shares of 7%.
