The chart illustrates the average price per kilogram of clothing imported into the European Union from Argentina, Brazil, Japan, China, India, Bangladesh and Turkey in 2 different years - 1997 and 2003. Overall, it is evident that the most expensive clothing is imported from Argentina, Brazil and Turkey, whereas more budget-friendly options are available from Bangladesh and India.

The price per kilogram of clothing from Argentina experinced a significant decrease from just below 32 pounds to about 28 pounds. In contrast, the price for the clothing imported from Brazil remained the same 26 pounds for both years. Another drop in cost is noted Japan, from about 18 pounds to around 16 pounds, meanwhile a sharp increase is recorded in price for clothing brought from China - from around 13 to 19 pounds. Similarly, another price increase is recorded in Indian clothing from approximately 8 to 14 pounds. In addition, sharp rise is noted in Bangladesh from 5 to 7 pounds and in turkey from 21 to 24 pounds.
